I have worked in and around IT for nearly 25 years. I started out as a programmer in the heady days of mainframe business systems and gained promotion to Director status in 2 software houses before eventually leaving to take up a position on the main board of a leading North West travel company. I set up new systems and developed the infrastructure to empower web sales before eventually selling up in 2003. Since then I have continued to work with a succession of travel companies on a freelance basis whilst also seeking a suitable business to invest time, energy and cash into.
I am looking to invest between £30-£100k in the right opportunity, in either the technology sector, or a business that inspires me, not necessarily in the technology sector.
Whilst a number of opportunities have presented themselves, none has provided me with the opportunity to invest ‘me and my money’. I want to be actively involved in helping a business to take the next step forward. I am also an amateur photographer and program secretary for South Manchester Camera Club and use much of my spare time organising events for the club and taking on photographic work.
