1. NEXT EVENT - CLOUD COMPUTING DEMYSTIFIED - 15th April - 6 to 9pm

At our next event on 15th April at eOffice, 1 Portland Street, Manchester, we will unravel the benefits of using cloud computer technologies for achieving a competitive advantage, as well as opportunities for startups to offer cloud computing and related technologies. Confirmed speakers include Ivan Farneti of Doughty Hanson & Co. (Venture Capitalist) and Bindi Karia of Microsoft (VC/Emerging Business Lead and BizSpark programme). Ivan will discuss opportunities from a venture investment point of view whilst Bindi will discuss Microsoft Azure platform. We are hoping that Amazon Web Services and Sun Microsystems will also be able to take part. The event will feature no more than 5 speakers/panelists including an opportunity for startup or technologist with expertise of more than one platform. 2. TECH MISSION LONDON - 8th June

We are organising a tech mission to London on 8th June 2009. The programme from 2 to 5pm includes a workshop on sharing knowledge with London based tech entrepreneurs and investors and exploring partnership opportunities. We will run the successfull Dragons Lair format in the evening. This is our first trip to London as part of the Northern StartUp 2.0. We are looking for sponsors at present.
