Hope you had a great long weekend. We have been busy with rebranding that started in early Feb 2010.

Rebranding as Techcelerate

Rebranding as Techcelerate and repositioning as a Membership organisation for technology companies of any size is now complete. We are in the process of writing to each of you personally to introduce our Membership benefits, which is vital to the sustainability of Techcelerate as a private business not funded by the UK tax payer. We need to reach a point where a permanent team is in place to service your ever growing needs. As we have a large database to reach out, please get in touch if you have not already received a request from us on Membership.

We have also adopted CapsuleCRM and Xero to maintain our relationship with you both from operational and financial aspects. Both have joined as Members of Techcelerate, and have already engaged with our activities. CapsuleCRM and Xero (with edocr.com and Malinko) took part in SaaS Pricing (and Sales Strategies) workshop on 27th April with like minded companies from Dallas and San Francisco through telepresence. Xero's Gary Turner shared his experience with us on 21st April at our monthly event. We are looking to organise Member only events such as these to accelerate growth of technology businesses through knowledge share.

As part of Membership, we have opened Techcelerate Lounge for business, which is our Member only area informing you opportunities that we have taken the trouble to understand and think they are worthy of your time. Techcelerate Directory is also open highlighting deals, companies, service providers and mentors. Content will continually be added over the coming weeks and months.

18/05 Techcelerate Monthly - Pitching for Healthcare Partners and Customers

Techcelerate Healthcare Pitching provides a compelling environment for technology companies to pitch to a panel of buyers from the healthcare sector. It is arranged as two sessions, each session with up to four companies pitching to a panel of 3 to 4 buyers. Each company is given 5 minutes to deliver a razor-sharp pitch and the health care companies have 10 mins to quiz the technology proposition.

27/05 UKIBC Next Gen - Innovation in IT in India and Opportunities

IT industry accounts for 5.9% of India's GDP and employs more than 2.3 million people, making it one of the biggest job creators in India. In 2009, annual revenues from outsourcing projects amounted to US$60 billion and this is expected to increase to US$225 billion by 2020. Whilst India has become a sought after labour market for Business Process Outsourcing, India is now emerging as a hot bed for technology companies, inspired by likes of Silicon Valley. This event explores the innovation taking place in IT in India moving from a traditional outsourcing model to value based entrepreneurial tech industry whilst exploring opportunities for trade between India and UK.

03/06 London Tech Mission 2010

Our annual pilgrimage to London to explore investment opportunities and build partnerships with Southern technology companies. Last year, the keynote was delivered by Michael Birch of Bebo. We are currently in the process of putting final touches to this event which will take place at Paypal.
